While traveling in Argentina in 2006, TOMS Founder Blake Mycoskie witnessed the hardships faced by children growing up without shoes. Wanting to help, he created TOMS, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a new pair of shoes for a child in need. One for One ®. What began as a simple idea has evolved into a powerful business model.
TOMS has been a huge success in Norway and the classic Alpargata is one of the most popular shoe models during the summer. In 2015 the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) became the first Nordic shoe giving partner for TOMS. Since then, they`ve distributed thousands of TOMS shoes to refugee children in Jordan, Iraq and Ethiopia.
In 2016 TOMS was finalist in the prestigious “Marketer of the Year” award in Norway for their innovative, creative and impactful marketing for the brand in their market.
TOMS has given over 60 million pairs of shoes to children in need. Since 2006, people like you have helped TOMS achieve this amazing number – and it’s leading to bigger and better things, like giving different types of shoes based on terrain and season, or creating local jobs by producing shoes in countries where TOMS give.
We`re in business to improve lives.
